HaziSafe Bags VS Black Plastic & Duct Tape

Here we go over some of the advantages of using HaziSafe bags over against Builders Film.

Here at Industroquip we often get asked why should I use HaziSafe Bags over against wrapping asbestos in black plastic and duct tape?

We sell Black Plastic & Duct Tape for asbestos removal and HaziSafe Asbestos Bulk Bags so we take an unbiased look at both options and why we sincerely believe the best way to safely dispose of hazardous materials like asbestos is through the use of hazi bags.HaziSafe bags have been developed specifically for fully compliant containment, transportation and disposal of solid hazardous waste materials like asbestos and offers substantial benefits over traditional methods of asbestos removal and disposal.

HaziSafe bags is the safer alternative to the current most common method of containing, transporting and disposing of asbestos waste which is wrapping asbestos with builders film and duct tape.

Once the asbestos has been placed into the HaziSafe bag and it is sealed there is no chance of exposure to anyone around.

Another beauty of the HaziSafe bags are they are made to be lifted by the skip truck by themselves eliminating the need for a metal skip bin container, this can save costs for the end user and also free up resources for the skip bin hire company.

CERTIFIED FOR LIFTING

Black Plastic wrapped asbestos is very cumbersome to lift and place into skip bins whilst HaziSafe bags are certified for lifting, this means you can lift them with a forklift or skid steer loader into very confined spaces for example back yards of houses or right into a power station for the removal of asbestos lagging.

Another advantage of the lifting lugs on our HaziSafe product is it can be lifted by a skip bin truck and taken to the tip without the need of a skip bin.

EASIER TO USE & STORE

HaziSafe asbestos bulk bags come in a box or flat packed on a pallet and are packaged in very light and compact bundles, not like bulk rolls of builders films. Once filled they also can be easily and safely stacked ready for collection.

NO RISK OF EXPOSURE TO ASBESTOS DUST

As the HaziSafe bags are tough with double stitching and welded seams and then have an inner bladder or liner it eliminates the risk of exposure to asbestos dust once sealed off.

This prevents the HaziSafe asbestos bag from bursting open when dumping at the tip exposing the public, council workers etc to asbestos fibres accidentally.

DO COUNCILS ACCEPT HAZISAFE BAGS?

With the traditional black plastic method of disposing of asbestos there is always a risk that it will burst open whilst dumping at landfill sites, this can lead to unneccesary and dangerous exposure to asbestos fibres to your staff or even the general public.

Whilst alot of councils still have outdated information on their websites in regard to how to wrap asbestos for taking to their landfill sites with most mentioning wrapping in black plastic, they do accept HaziSafe bags as they are certified for Asbestos disposal.

Some progreesive councils like Lake Macquarie for example clearly state that the use of hazibags is a suitable way of disposing of asbestos at their landfill sites.

This is changing fast as councils get with the times and update their websites.
