240 Litre Spillsupport AdBlue® Spill Response Kits
Spillsupport has just launched its new range of Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) Spill Response Kits, Australia’s first range of Spill Response Kits that are specific for AdBlue® spills and colour coded to the new Australian Spill Kit Industry Standards.
DEF most commonly known as AdBlue®, is an aqueous urea solution used in modern diesel engine trucks to help reduce their nitrogen oxide emissions. These days, it’s very common for AdBlue to be handled, stored and dispensed wherever diesel trucks and engines are fuelled or maintained.
With this comes the risk of AdBlue® leaks, drips or spills, which not only have the potential to harm the environment, but may affect safety in the workplace.
A fit-for-purpose spill kit is essential to contain and control the AdBlue® spills within a certain area. Such a spill kit will not react with the liquids it is designed to control and allows responders to deal swiftly with the spill.
Diesel refuelling sites typically use oil and fuel spill kits which contain hydrophobic (water-repellent) absorbents. These absorbents are not suitable for use with AdBlue®.
Spillsupport has developed a specific kit for the cleaning and controlling of AdBlue spills in Australia, each AdBlue® Spill Response Kit contains a variety of all-liquid, polypropylene absorbents colour-coded grey (differentiating them from our white oil and fuel absorbents).
We also have a wide range of Bunded IBC Stores, Bunded AdBlue® Storage Tanks and AdBlue Dispensing Equipment available, contact Brendan Clayton on 0438 010 519 or email@example.com with your requirements and he will be more than happy to assist you, for the supply of AdBlue® we recommend EcoBlue who are the leading manufacturer and nationwide supplier of this product click here to go to the EcoBlue website
What is AdBlue?
AdBlue® is a high quality urea solution that is easy to use. AdBlue® is the registered trademark for AUS32, or Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5% that is used with the Selective Catalytic Reduction system (SCR) to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen from the exhaust of diesel vehicles.
AdBlue® is neither a fuel nor a fuel additive and has its own dedicated tank
The AdBlue® trademark is owned by the German Association of the Automobile Industry (VDA), who ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with ISO 22241 specifications.
Ensure that you only buy AdBlue® from a manufacturer with the registered trademark (®) on the product label and one who is registered with VDA.
